Check the status of the land
The peninsula has many plots with a constancia anotada or a survey (deslinde) still in progress. Before applying for a mortgage-backed loan, it’s worth requesting a Certificación del Estado Jurídico del Inmueble (legal-status certificate) from the Registro de Títulos. When the property is in order, the appraisal and review move much faster.
